Koch Industries and the Charles Koch Foundation contributed a $50,000 grant to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation's SkillsUSA scholarship fund for students competing in the world’s largest showcase of career and technical education (CTE), the 2016 National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Ky. Together, the three organizations contributed a total of $100,000 to support CTE students. The mikeroweWORKS Foundation has offered these scholarships to SkillsUSA members who compete and place first in their state’s SkillsUSA Championships but face a financial challenge in going on to the national event. Any SkillsUSA 2016 national competitor who meets the financial criteria can apply.
