The mission of law camp is to create a partnership between law enforcement and youth by

esteem, confidence and trust by involving the participants in activities that stimulate positive
behavior. One hundred and fifty area youth, ages 11 to 15, have been selected to attend this
year’s camp.
Law camp is a partnership involving over 25 public and private sector organizations. Sheriff Bob
Hinshaw says, “The partnership and long term commitment from our community partners is
invaluable and shows how important law camp is to the youth in this area.”
According to Susan Addington, Koch Industries, Inc. Community Relations Manager, “Koch
Industries has sponsored the Leaders, Achievers & Winners Camp since 1996. It is a unique
program that provides the opportunity for young people to build character and self esteem, while
interacting in a positive way with the role models from the law enforcement community.”
