The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) has granted accreditation to The John Zink InstituteSM (JZI). Operated by John Zink Company LLC, JZI offers practical courses on process and boiler burners, process and biogas flares, and vapor control technologies. Accreditation by ACCET validates JZI’s commitment to sound education and training practices.
JZI is also accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training and has courses accredited by the American Petroleum Institute.
Thousands of professionals from all over the world have attended JZI classes, which are led by some of the industry’s most recognized engineers and educators. At the main campus in Tulsa, new and skilled operators experience a unique curriculum of courses in a classroom setting, and also receive training and equipment demonstrations on an industrial scale at the company’s research and development facility, which is among the largest R&D facilities in the industry.
In addition to teaching accredited courses, JZI educators author The John Zink Combustion Handbook, an industry standard reference book that has been a top-seller since 2006. The handbook also serves as the textbook for many JZI courses.
ACCET has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a "reliable authority" on the quality of education and training provided by the institutions they accredit. In 1998, ACCET became the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified as an ISO 9001:2008-Quality Management System.
According to ACCET, the accreditation represents A Partnership for Quality® between ACCET and JZI, with a commitment to high standards and accountability.
