College football season has officially kicked off and Georgia-Pacific has more than one reason to cheer. This not only marks the start of school rivalries and tailgates, but the grand opening of the College Football Hall of Famein downtown Atlanta.
The new Hall of Fame houses important paraphernalia from the sport’s history and its interactive viewing experience is already making it a hit with fans. This exciting attraction’s home turf is located in the Centennial Olympic Park district and is set to be a welcomed place for public and private gatherings.
Not wanting to sit on the sidelines, Georgia-Pacific got in on the action and donated building materials and paper products for the more than 94,000 square-foot complex. Georgia-Pacific’s building products such as lumber, plywood and DensGlass® Sheathing helped the building’s construction finish strong.
The building sports an impressive football-shaped exterior, while the inside houses a jaw-dropping 50,000 square feet of exhibit space and a 45-yard indoor football field. Georgia-Pacific helped complete the space by supplying washroom essentials including enMotion® paper towel dispensers, soap and sanitizer, as well as Compact® coreless bath tissue.
Building the College Football Hall of Fame certainly was a team effort and Georgia-Pacific is proud to be a part of it.
