INVISTA employee volunteers installed energy-saving lamps in the Lanmayuan community building corridors in the Qingpu District today, in conjunction with International Volunteer Day. Part of the company’s “Qingpu Good Neighbor” community program, INVISTA’s “Energy Saving – Better Life” activity in the Lanmayuan community included the volunteer support and an interactive quiz for community residents to demonstrate their awareness and share best practices in energy conservation.
INVISTA was pleased to conduct these activities in support of the Qingpu District government’s plan to promote energy conservation and environmental protection. In attendance were officials from the Qingpu Civilization Office, Qingpu Volunteer Association, and Xianghuaqiao Community Office, and residents from the Lanmayuan and nearby community.
Launched in 2012, “Qingpu Good Neighbor” program is a community initiative sponsored by INVISTA’s manufacturing sites in the Qingpu District. The program promotes environment, health and safety awareness to local residents including students, children of migrant workers, and seniors.
INVISTA pursues its sustainability vision through continuous efforts in improving environmental, health and safety performance; supporting effective local stewardship initiatives; and encouraging employee involvement in causes that enhance the quality of life in the community.
