Koch Industries, Inc. will match all donations made to The Salvation Army Wichita Dec. 9 through 13, up to $25,000. This matching challenge could total up to $50,000 for The Salvation Army as it works to help those who need it most. Donations can be made to red kettles, by phone, by check, or online at www.donatewichita.com.
“Koch Industries is honored to offer this matching gift to The Salvation Army as we celebrate 25 years of support for the Angel Tree program,” said Steve Lombardo, advisory board member for The Salvation Army Wichita and chief communications and marketing officer at Koch Industries. “The Salvation Army offers assistance to those in need not just at Christmas, but throughout the year. As their motto says, they work to do the most good.”
“We are grateful to Koch Industries for this generous matching offer, which will help us to fill critical needs in our city,” said Major Glen Caddy, Wichita City Commander for The Salvation Army. “The money you donate to The Salvation Army may help a family in need, a homeless person get back on their feet, or a child to find a loving foster family.”
Red kettles are stationed throughout the city, including all Wichita-area Dillon’s food stores and participating Walmart stores. Online donations can be made anytime at www.donatewichita.com. You can also call The Salvation Army at 316.263.2769 or mail a check to 350 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
