Koch Industries awarded $60,000 in scholarships to forty college students through the Discovery Scholarship program.
The Discovery Scholarship program is designed for college students who are innovative and eager to apply their knowledge and ideas to achieve better solutions for the world’s needs. Koch Industries has sponsored Discovery Scholarships since 2012, awarding nearly $240,000 in scholarships to 150 college students. Colleges select scholarship award winners based on factors such as academic achievements, relevant work experience, honors and awards, university organizations, activities and/or services.
“We are pleased to help these exceptional students pursue their academic and career goals,” said Koch Manager of College Relations Andy Ek. “We congratulate them and wish them continued success.”
In addition to providing scholarship support, Koch hosts all scholarship finalists at their headquarters in Wichita for Discovery Day – an event designed to provide students with a chance to develop leadership skills, gain perspectives on private industry careers, and an opportunity to network with business leaders.
